Everything about “Piana Bosmana”

The Odra river festival is taking place next weekend. One of the main attractions will be the “Floating on whatever floats” competition on Saturday. The first “whatever” has already been put on the water- what will it be?
Acrobatic shows over the water, competition in floating on “whatever floats”, motorboat races and concerts- are only some of the many attractions prepared by the organisers of “Piana Bosmana”.

Satuday, May 26th

12.00 - "Marina Oława" (tavern in Scinawa Polska) – meeting point for vessels, parade on the river to the water gate and back; 12.30 – raising the flag - opening ceremony;

13.00 - motorboat and jet ski quarter mile race;

13.30 - "OK Band" concert;

14.15 - water rescue show by the Lower Silesia Lifeguards’ Association

14.45 – Regional Water Management competition "Let’s be waterproof" – lining the river banks with sand bags;
15.15 - "Zejman&Garkumpel" band- a family concert with competitions and games for kids (and crew training on dragon boats);

16.00 – water rescue demonstration by the Volunteer Lifeguards’ Association, including rescue dogs from the foundation for assistance dogs “Psi Ratownicy”

16.45 - "Betty Blue" band concert;

17.30 – motorboat tow – water ski acrobatics demonstrated by Europe’s champions - wake skates;

18.00 –“Floating on whatever floats” competition, under the supervision of Misiek Koterski

The participants are people who come with original ideas, construct their "boat" and make it float. The most important thing is to get the vessel to stay on the water and move a couple dozen metres. Teams willing to participate will also be able to sign up on the day of the event.

19.30 - "Zejman&Garkumpel" concert - fun, food and music. Attention! During the festival, the water path will be open to everyone. There will be trips on the Odra river, on wooden boats and the water tram “Kaczuszka” from Wroclaw, on the way from Oława to Brzeg.

Sunday 27th of May

12.00 - "Party Tour" band concert;

12.30 – Water rescue demonstrations including assistance dogs;

12.45 – meeting with assistance dogs on land and a talk about water safety

13.00 -"Za Horyzontem" band concert;

14.00 – Championships on dragon boats for the Voivodeship Cup The distance for the dragon boat races will be 250 metres. In each race there will be 2 dragon boat teams, with 8 paddlers, including at least 2 women. The competitions will be held in two turns. The winning team will receive the Voivodeship Cup.;

15.00 - "Zejman&Garkumpel" band concert;

16.00 – Motorboat towing show including the "sumo-tube", and wheel, para sailing, hovercraft demonstration;

17.00 – Dragon boat race finals;

18.00 - "Wrzos Band" concert;

18.45 - announcement of the dragon boat race results, award ceremony with the Voivodeship Cup and certificates.

18.15 - "Brygada RS" and "Party Tour" concert. How to get to “Piana Bosmana”

The organizers have prepared a map showing parking spots and the route to the festival. For two days, it will also be possible to arrive at the festival using public transport, free of charge. The Promotion and European Cooperation Department of the Oława City Hall will prepare additional parking spots, other than those shown on the map. They will be located behind the “Piaski” (coming from the old paper factory) along the Odra channel up to the iron bridge, in front of the tip where the event will be taking place.
