An event like no other. Martial arts demonstrations, tricks on motors and bikes, kayak races, basketball tournaments and bungee jumps plus concerts of local bands and a party until morning- those are just some of the special attractions planned for the weekend of the 9th to 10th of October.
The party called “Extreme weekend “will take place by the Jelcz Pond, starting at noon on Saturday. The idea for this event came from young Jelcz-Laskowice locals, founders of the “Młodzi J-L” Association (“Youth of J-L”), who also helped organise the event. - It was meant to be a charity event- say the members of the association. - This is how we wanted to raise our money for our friend, who had cancer. Unfortunately, he died a few days ago. The event will take place, but without the fund raising, but it will still be dedicated to him and other young members of our borough, so that they can see that there are many ways to fight boredom in our town. Guests will be able to watch demonstrations of kapapa self-defence moves, and take part in classes dedicated to this martial art. Moreover, there will be a special track for off-road vehicles, quad and motocross races. It will also be possible to take part in kayak races and street ball tournaments for the Mayor of Jelcz-Laskowice’s Cup. There are also demonstrations including hovercrafts, fire brigades and medical emergency teams planned for this event. Adrenaline lovers will also be able to do a 80 metre bungee jump.
The event will last two days. Local bands will help calm down after all the extreme emotions.
